英会話(名古屋・金山) BRIDGE - Hi, this is Martin!

Teacher's Column

Hi, this is Martin!

How’s it going everyone!!!

Spring time has arrived! We are now in the month of May. April seemed to come and go with the blink of an eye. How time flies, doesn’t it? Cherry Blossoms once in full bloom are nowhere to be seen now. It was like a completely different time. But, keep in mind that it was only last month!

My wife and I celebrated our first year wedding anniversary last month. It still seemed like yesterday. I can clearly remember standing full of butterflies in my stomach, anxiously awaiting my blushing bride to be walk with her father towards me at the altar. My heart was beating uncontrollably with each step they were made. I’m so glad to be married with my true love. It was destiny that we met each other.

I’m in my 8th year in Japan and loving every moment of it. I wouldn’t have it any other way. As you all know, I’ve been teaching at Bridge for quite a while now. The students and staff are like a family to me. I’m so proud to see students making great progress with their English throughout the years. It is like seeing a loved one grow right before your eyes.

I hope that everyone will continue to work hard and further their studies. Always remember that there are no limits to your dreams. Everyone controls their own destinies. Life is what you make of it. Please remember that everyone here at Bridge is like one BIG family with only high hopes to seeing one another succeed. We are always so proud to hear when one of you has accomplished whatever goal you set for yourself. I’m really looking forward to see you in class and will always be glad to lend you a helping hand!!!!

Take care,

Martin Mai
